New Ceramic Services Down Draft Kiln for Ohlone College
Here's a new 20 cu. ft. down draft kiln we just built and shipped to Ohlone College. The kiln was installed by Leslie's Ceramics. It has our Automatic Temperature Control System, and was custom designed to fit into the school's enclosure. We also included custom designed firing programs for both cone 10 reduction, long sculpture firings, and bisque firings (at no extra charge, of course!) These instructors are very happy with our kiln and its performance.
Chaffey College’s New Soda/Salt Kiln
Chaffey College just got a new customized Ceramic Services Soda/Salt Kiln. We designed this specially to be able to handle the process of Salt firing, with harder fire bricks, 7 inch thick walls (yes this puppy was HEAVY), and two layers of special insulation so the kiln will fire more efficiently and hold temperature. Here are Stan Hunter, instructor, and Brian Kohl, assistant, with their new kiln. They are going to have some fun with this!
