The rumors you’ve heard are true! We are in the process of adding some new things to the studio space to accommodate more hand building, better wheel and storage space and more wonderfulness! All for that same $80/month.

We are also making a new store area, since you studio folks are pushing out the walls! So keep your eyes out for news.

We are cookin’ at the studio! Lots of new glazes, our special pugged clay “mystery mix” for studio members’ use, AND we’re getting a new gas downdraft kiln with the automatic temperature controller system that is BIG – so we can fire some of Gary’s sculptures (and set it and forget it) . . .

But the real news is that all studio members will get their own web page here on the Ceramic Services website – to post images of your work and related info. Monthly updates and a link to your website. New pages will be coming soon, so stay ‘tooned!

Some goodies from a recent cone 10 studio firing . . .

New Ceramic Services Down Draft Kiln for Ohlone College

Here’s a new 20 cu. ft. down draft kiln we just built and shipped to Ohlone College. The kiln was installed by Leslie’s Ceramics. It has our Automatic Temperature Control System, and was custom designed to fit into the school’s enclosure.

We also included custom designed firing programs for both cone 10 reduction, long sculpture firings, and bisque firings (at no extra charge, of course!)

These instructors are very happy with our kiln and its performance.
